S Lucas wins prestigious industry award

Danny Lucas receives the award at the Hilton, Park Lane

S Lucas has won the Finishing and Fit Out category of the Specialists Awards 10 organised by Construction News, one of the most important awards schemes for specialists in the UK building and construction industry. The award was presented to Managing Director, Danny Lucas, at a gala dinner held at the Hilton Hotel in London’s Park Lane. The awards dinner was hosted by comedian and television presenter Rufus Hound for 600 leaders in specialist contracting. The judges said: “We were impressed by a real team effort from this firm. Their can-do attitude consistently exceeds the expectations of a range of blue-chip clients.” The company has won the award for its industry performance, training programmes, health and safety record and for its corporate planning and ambitions for the future. The judges also looked at recent S Lucas projects including the painting of the Grand Hall at Olympia in Kensington and the redecoration of Hackney Community College in Hoxton during its summer break last year.
