Spray Applied Finishes
Lucas was one of the first adopters of spray application techniques in this country to assist clients with their construction programme management. This includes airless spraying of very large walls, ceilings and other structures, and we use this system of application for a variety of coatings including fire resistant, hygienic, spill resistant and other protective coatings. This technique allowed us, for example, to paint the vast Victorian structural steel ceiling of the Grand Hall at Olympia in double quick time to fit in with its busy exhibition schedule. We deploy high volume low pressure (HVLP) spraying where fine control is required, which is completely free of overspray and enables a pencil thin line to be cut in around adjacent finishes without the need for masking.
