Danny Lucas named Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year

Many congratulations to our own Danny Lucas who last night was named Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year 2018.
He was awarded the accolade for his leadership of Lucas and bringing new technologies into our operations, but also for his funding and development of Littergram in his so-called spare time, a litter spotting app aimed at helping to clean up Britain.
Marcus Wright, Enterprise Relationship Manager, Kent Innovation & Enterprise, University of Kent said:
“The judging panel was impressed by the entrepreneurial spirt, attitude and approach Danny Lucas has demonstrated during his career, and especially how he has driven the business forward over the last 12 months. He is an inspiration to all budding entrepreneurs on how you can challenge the norm and push forward with innovation and new approaches. The University of Kent is a proud patron of the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and sponsor of the Entrepreneur of the Year category specifically to engage with individuals just like Danny. I hope others will be inspired by his drive and enthusiasm.”
Danny said: “I hope this award helps inspire others to consider working in the construction industry. This is the message I am trying to spread to young people with the recent launch of my book, “Get the tin out and paint the world”, and the opening this week of our new Lucas Visitor and Learning Centre.”
