Southbank Place Site Managers Win Safety Award
The Lucas site management team at Southbank Place has been recognised by our client Canary Wharf Contractors for its high standards of site safety during the third quarter of the year. The three managers - Keith Wootton, Naz Hristozov and Tod Boiadjiev – were presented with a £1,000 cheque today which will be shared across the Lucas on site team.
Our Safety as Standard initiative which we operate across all sites is backed up by our safety training videos available to all our operatives in four languages on the Lucas Team App, and is responsible for our outstanding safety record. It is now over 2.3 million hours worked in almost five years since we last reported a RIDDOR incident to the Health and Safety Executive.
Lucas has won several major packages across the Southbank Place site in Central London between the River Thames and Waterloo Station. We will be holding one of our lung testing initiatives in partnership with the British Lung Foundation on this site next year.
“Well done to the safety team at Southbank Place. The safety and wellbeing of our operatives is of paramount importance to us,” said Danny Lucas, Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Lucas.
