New Battersea project for Lucas

A Lucas team is about to start work on another project in the Battersea area following our multiple contracts contributing to the regeneration of Battersea Power Station.

This time we are part of a gateway project to kickstart Battersea’s new Design and Tech quarter (BDTQ).

Palmerston Court is a high quality, highly sustainable development including student accommodation targeting PassivHaus accreditation and a new commercial building targeting a BREEAM outstanding rating. It is located on the south side of Battersea Park Road, opposite the Power Station.

The development is led by private student accommodation provider Urbanest, and will provide modern accommodation for over 850 students across three towers incorporating an eEnterprise Business Unit (EBU) at the lower levels.

A separate 12 level plus basement building will provide 40,000 sq ft of offices space including a public house at ground level.

Lucas will be painting the apartments, front of house and all communal areas. We will apply specialist coatings to the back of house and basement areas including dustsealers, safety coatings and Muralplast multisurface paint. The main contractor is Mace.
