Lucas has completed a superb contractor’s designed portion (CDP) fit out of Level 56, a whole floor given over to magnificent club facilities for the residents of South Quay Plaza.

Our client Berkeley Homes demanded the very highest quality standards for these signature facilities for its 68-storey Foster + Partners designed tower, set to be one of Europe’s tallest residential developments.

The Lucas team took on full responsibility and control of the project. It meant transforming the empty space on this entire floor into a luxury Residents’ Club Lounge, half of which is given over to a large terrace with its own bar and kitchen, and providing residents with some of the finest views over London.

We also created a 24-seat cinema, a boardroom, glass-walled meeting rooms, a library and washroom facilities for Level 56.

We designed and built some remarkable joinery features throughout the spaces, created veneered doors, frames and skirtings to match, installed Italian porcelain floor tiles and luxury carpets and bespoke stone worktops.

Our team was responsible for all mechanical and electrical installations for the project, including all access control features, fire safety and security equipment, state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, and electrically-controlled perimeter blinds.

We carefully decorated throughout Level 56, installed specialist stretched acoustic wall fabrics for the cinema, and fitted out the bar and kitchen areas with the very best catering-grade equipment.

Project management required a carefully coordinated logistics programme with site space very restricted. The Lucas team started the project in June last year and has just completed on time despite the complications of working throughout with Covid special measures in place.

The Level 56 project for Berkeley Homes complements our earlier building of a stunning marketing suite and one bedroom replica apartment for the development on the ground floor.
