8 Bishopsgate

Lucas has completed another major painting package for a new City tower, this time for the

50-storey office and retail development at 8 Bishopsgate.

Our painting teams started at basement levels, applying specialist epoxy safety coatings to the floors and painting all the plant rooms and back of house areas. We then deployed up the tower as the construction developed, painting all office and core walls, ceilings and joinery.

The development by Stanhope and Mitsubishi Estate London provides retail space on the ground floor and 560,000 sq ft of prime office space. The building design is a series of stacked blocks that narrow and reduce in size at higher levels creating a slender look to the tower with terraces and outdoor spaces topped by a public viewing area.

The tower is on the corner of Bishopsgate and Leadenhall Street where one of our fit out teams also created a distinctive marketing suite for the development, located next door at 145 Leadenhall. We have completed a series of major tall tower painting and construction packages in this area of the City including just up the road for the new 62-storey tower TwentyTwo at 22 Bishopsgate, at 40 Leadenhall and at 280 Bishopsgate.
